Late one nice night a little while ago, Rosie thought she would go outside and look for an apple under the apple tree. Before long, she came racing back in as fast as she could, but it was like, Wow! The smell hit the door before she did. Yep, Rosie got skunked! She was so upset and tried to jump on the bed, but Dad grabbed her and put her in the tub. She got scrubbed until she was pink! Then Dad had to wash everything 'cause she jumped on the bed! Of course Hector & I were good and stayed out of the way:) You could still smell kind of a funky skunky cloud in the house, but we sure had a nice, clean bed! Poor Rosie! I'm sure she just wanted to say Hi to that skunk!

Hi Everyone,
Mom's going to take over the Bullies' Blog for a few minutes. Roxy mentioned hers and Rosie's trip to the vet. Well, as you may have read on our site, Rosie is retired from breeding, so we recently took her to our great friends at Banfield Pet Hospital here in Grand Junction to be spayed. No one realized at the time how difficult her operation would be. Bull terriers often have a hard time delivering their puppies, and it turned out that Rosie was full of scar tissue and damage from her two litters (including one delivery by cesarean section), and almost bled to death during surgery. All three vets at Banfield worked heroically to save on our little Rose. There was no keeping her down after surgery, and she has recovered incredibly well. Where she was sweet but quiet before, she is now so joyful and playful that the change is just amazing. She is also gaining the weight that she could never manage before. We realize now that she must have been in pain ever since she had Roxy's litter 4 years ago, and we learned that her health was becoming in serious jeopardy. We are endlessly grateful for the skill and caring of Dr. Miller, Dr. Seely and Dr. Mickelson at Banfield, and that Tim had the wisdom to retire Rosie from breeding. Most of all, we are in awe of the courage of one little dog, our sweet Rose.
Wishing you a Joyful Summer,
Vicki & Bill

Hey, All!
Why, you may ask, is it always Hector? Well, you might as well as why pigs fly... it's just a force of nature. Anyway, Rosie and I had to go for a doctor checkup the other day. When we came home, we walked in to discover Hector standing in the middle of the glass-top dining table. Just standing there and looking, with his feet all spread out, like he was afraid to move. Dad, Rosie and I just went, "Wha..." Heckie likes to squirm onto the chairs and then try to climb up on the table. It looked like he succeeded, but he was too scared to jump back down off the slippery glass, so he just stood there! The big doofus. Dad just laughed, and made Hector wait on his table while he got us girls a cookie. Then Dad went and helped him down. Should've made him wait there longer, I thought! So far, Hector hasn't done any more table surfing!
Hope you're having a fun summer! We're going to take a nap under the air conditioner now.

Hi Everyone,
All these windy spring days are getting a little bit tiresome, but one windy day lately was pretty entertaining. We were all playing in the back yard. You know those little blue plastic swimming pools that people get for the little kids? We have one of those... there isn't any water in it yet, though, and Hector likes to drag it around the yard. Well, the other day he decided to pick it up (yes, he picked up the edge of it in his mouth) and started running around with it standing up over the top of his head. He looked pretty much like a moving satellite dish. He was so proud carrying around this giant thing, Roxy and I were just sitting there watching him and shaking our heads. Then suddenly one of those big gusts of wind came up, and Woosh! It caught Hector's swimming pool like a big old sail and sent him head-over-bully-butt. Roxy and I just laughed. Of course, he didn't care one bit!
Stay out of the wind!

OK, yes, I did it. I ate Dad's glasses... again. Either the second or third time, but who's counting? Can't help it, ya know... they're just so interesting. Being of a curious nature, I keep trying to figure out why people wear those glass-and-wiry things on their faces, but every time I try to conduct proper research to see what the deal is, the darn things just break. Whatever they're good for, they definitely are not Bully Tested Tough. They do have sort of a good crunchy quality, though. Anyway, not to worry. Dad already got some new ones! Hopefully I'll get to test those someday, too. Better living through Bully Science!
Your Friend,
Hector

Hey, All!
So, where were we? Sorry we haven't written since Christmastime, but then again we are dogs, and we do get easily distracted. And yes, to answer your question, Santa WAS good to us! Why not?
Anyhoo, after a long hibernation season, it's officially Spring! Daylight Savings Time messed up our nap schedule by an hour, but otherwise we're ready to roll with some warmer days. We had an excellent shopping trip to our favorite social scene the other day, PetSmart and Home Depot, where we got to catch up with our friends and fans, and meet some new ones. Got our favorite treats, too... Bully Sticks! They're the only yummy chew treat that's also Bully Tested Tough! We recommend them highly for you big chewers out there.
We were having some great play time out in the back yard today when the darn Spring Wind blew the patio gate shut on us! We were stuck playing out in the yard a while longer (what a shame!) until Dad discovered why we couldn't run back inside. But hey, not even the March Wind can outrun a good Bully!
See Ya!

Wow! Can it really be Christmastime? We've sure had a busy year, even by Bullie standards. Rosie came to join our family, we got to be TV stars, and we have met so many new friends! And we haven't gotten in too much trouble, we don't think, anyway. At least Dad and Mom aren't mad at us most of time time. In fact, the other day Hector ate Mom's down vest, and she didn't even yell. He couldn't help it, it was just so soft and fluffy. Dad did look a little disappointed, though, we must admit.
Anyway, we always mean to be good, even if sometimes we can't help causing a little ruckus! That's why we're Bullies! So we sure hope Santa will be good to us... we bet he will, 'cause after all, who can resist us?
Well, we're gonna settle down for a long winter's nap right now, but what we really want to say is MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS and a BULLIE NEW YEAR to all our family and friends, old and new. We love you all, and we'll try to write more soon. So you'd better watch out, 'cause Santa is on his way!!

Hey, everybody! We thought we'd give Dad & Mom a little help today and take care of some of that boring old business paperwork for them. While they were out on the Poop route this morning, we just fixed up all that "banking" stuff for them. See, we know all about money 'cuz we've seen it when we get to go shopping. So no sweat, right? I checked out the checks... they didn't taste like much but they did sort of fly around in an interesting manner when I shook 'em. That little zipper bag thing was kind of fun so I ate a corner off of it. Roxy counted the cash and Rosie made sure she was very careful. Then we arranged all of it on the floor all over the house. When Dad & Mom got back home, boy, were they ever surprised with what a great job we did! In fact, they were so surprised, they didn't even know what to say. Then they had to go around and check out everything we did, and we got some breakfast burrito for a treat! We'll think up some more ways we can help. You can count on us to do a Bullie job!

Last week we took a little drive up to Aspen, one of our favorite getaways, you might say. We love to walk there because they have all those great streets just for walking, no cars. The only thing we're not too sure about is that fountain where water shoots right up out of the street! Woo! That's a bit much for us because we are not the biggest water dogs. Little kids really seem to like it, though, and we like watching kids! There were more people than ever who just had to stop and say hello... Some of them talk funny (Mom & Dad say they speak different languages) but even when we can't understand the words, the people are all really nice to us, and pet us and scratch our ears. Aspen is a dog-loving town, and there are always lots of people walking other dogs, too. It's fun to meet them all, but none of them get as much attention as we do!! People know we are the "Target dogs" or "Spuds McKenzie dogs" or "General Patton dogs", so obviously we are very famous and important! Some people think we are funny looking but most people think we are really cute. Guess not everyone has good taste. Too bad for them! Anyway, we walked and talked until we got pretty tired, and slept in the car all the way home. What a fun day in the mountains!

Hey, Bullie Fans!
We spent last week showing off for the camera! Yep, we just finished shooting three new Poop Van Scoop commercials, starring us, of course, Hector, Roxy & Rosie. This time we're driving the Poop Van Scoop truck! It was lots of work, but then again, we are professional actors and we're prepared to give 100% for our fans, including doing our own stunts! Gotta tell ya, though, it's also very fun and exciting! Watch for the girls and me on KJCT TV, Channel 8. Once you see us, I know you'll be calling Poop Van Scoop!
See Ya in the Movies,
Hector

It was another hot summer day, but we got to go shopping this morning before the pavement got too toasty for us! Dad said we needed to get out and see our public and he's so right, we do love going out and about. We went to PetSmart, which is always our fave even though Hector did have to get a broken toenail trimmed by the groomer. Then we visited the ladies at Home Depot, which is always good for lots of tummy rubs and sometimes even cookies. We even went to Lowe's, where they don't really know us as well, but everyone there was really nice, too. We just smile and wag and wiggle, and people go nuts, don't ask me why! We met two German Shepherds there who were very handsome but very serious, my goodness, I don't think we could ever be that dignified, not even Rosie! The best thing was we got to pick out a new barbeque grill, so maybe Dad will cook up some yummy stuff for us, like steak, or burgers, or hotdogs, or chicken, or maybe steak!! We can always hope, can't we? After all, we're not too spoiled! :) Then it was home for a nice nap! Stay cool!

Well, Mom & Dad went to a "wedding", which I believe is some kind of party with lots of people in fancy clothes. Since we don't usually get to jump up on fancy clothes, we got to stay at the kennel. Now that may sound boring to a lot of you but actually it is rather fun, like a hotel for Bullies! Sherry and Brian take good care of us. We go for walks and people stop and talk to us. Of course I am Brian's favorite because I'm the sweetest. Roxy talks to all the other dogs. We stay together, except if Hector gets too annoying Sherry puts him in his own room so he can't be such a pest.
Then a couple of weeks later Mom & Dad had to go on another little trip to someplace called "Utah" for the weekend and we got to go to the kennel again! While we were getting ready to be picked up to go home that day, Sherry let us take care of the office for her all by ourselves, so naturally we did an excellent job, because we can always be counted on (to be Bullies, of course!).
Hope you have fun on your summer vacation, wherever you go!

Hey Everybody! Well, on Saturday night all three of us got to go downtown on Main Street with Dad & Mom to the Art & Jazz Fest. We really love going out and meeting people (and dogs, and little kids, and whoever happens to come along). We didn't exactly get to walk very far because it was really crowded, and all sorts of people kept coming up to talk to us and pet us and play and be our friends. We sure do have lots of friends, because it's like that wherever we go. There was music and lots of shiny things like jewelry and pictures (all sorts of things we're not supposed to get into!). There was some food that smelled pretty good and some people had beer, which also smelled pretty interesting, but we didn't get to try any. Rats! Everybody said how wonderful and cute and well behaved we were, which we always do on purpose when we are in public, of course (hee hee). We did do our best to tangle Dad up in our leashes but he is still pretty quick. A couple of other dogs were a little bit snippy but we just told them to chill and then they were fine. Some dogs just don't know how to work a crowd!
We also met a very special new friend, another Bull Terrier! He is a big white boy named Bosco and he was lots of fun, just like us! That was really a great surprise because he's the only other Bully we have met here at home in GJ so far! Bosco is a very happy guy with a big grin, and we hope we get to see him again one of these days.
Anyway, we finally got tired (if you can believe that) and went home. But we had a terrific spring evening doing one of the things we love best, making friends!

Hi Everyone! We were just talking again about how much fun we had last weekend at the Dog-n-Jog at Bananas Fun Park. Actually we’re not sure about the “Fun Park” part… seems like it would have been a lot more fun if we could just run around on our own! But it sure was a great, sunny, colorful spring morning and we really did have fun meeting lots of new friends- dogs, people and kids. We helped hand out treats for the other dogs who came to visit our booth, which was a very important job. Rosie had to stay home because she didn’t feel good, but we did our best to be good helpers. Roxy (that’s me!) cleaned up crumbs that other dogs dropped and Hector (move over and let me type, Roxy! That’s me!) had ice cream in the afternoon!! The best part was seeing the rescue dogs from Roice Hurst get to meet people, too. We hope they get to go home with their new friends, because we know every pet needs a home, for sure!
Watch for us again around town real soon!

Wow! Has it really been this long since we wrote something? Well, no wonder, since we have been hibernating in the crummy cold, mostly in the middle of Dad's bed. BUT, now it's Spring! Yay! Time to run, play and hucklebutt, and even take a sun bath!! We had Bully sticks to chew for Easter, our favorite!
Hector got in trouble for digging out of the yard AGAIN! Rose told him not to go but he said, “I just can’t help it! I gotta see what’s goin’ on out there!” I stayed home because I’m a good girl! Besides, Rose is my mom, you know, and I try to do what she says (most of the time). Rose & I were kind of worried about him, to be honest. Well, Dad carried him back from the neighbors’ under one arm! Ha! The next day it was so weird because he tried to go dig again, and the fence actually bit him back! Seriously! Well, Hector let out a yelp and he hasn’t done any more digging since then. I guess Mama Rose is right and we should just stay home. So listen to your Mom ‘cause you never know what might happen....
See Ya! Roxy

Well, it's been a busy Bully week. Dad said today was the first day of Daylight Savings Time. It was so dark and grey outside, we figured maybe they were saving the daylight for another day?? I guess dogs don't get these things. Oh, well. More rainy days mean more naps. Yesterday we got to rumble and hucklebutt outside, though.
Speaking of rumbling around, I have to tell you that Hector actually dug out of the yard and went to the neighbors' the other day! Were Dad & Mom ever upset! Roxy & I couldn't believe he did it- we were so worried that when Dad brought him back in the door, we had to check him all over and ask him why in the world he did it. He acted like it was pretty cool but I know he was really glad to be back home. Dad put logs along the fence and sprinkled red pepper on the ground. When Hector got a snoot full of that he got mad and barked, but too bad! He needs to stay home, I say! Naughty boy!
We got a new Poop Van Scoop truck this weekend! It is very nice but for some reason they wouldn't let us help clean and polish it. I'm not sure why. We're good helpers!
Hope the sun comes out tomorrow. We need to go for a run in our own yard!
Love, Rose

What? More snow this morning? Forget it. I'm going back to bed. Dad can play with the website all day if he wants to.

What a gray, rainy morning! I got up early anyway and tried to get those sleepyheads to get up and play. But then we ended up all falling back asleep... What was up with that?? Rose had to get her ears cleaned- Ha ha! At least we all got treats out of it. Mom says it's "Go Live" day for the website. Woo hoo, so what! I'm a Live Wire every day!
Roxy

With us, every day is a Bully day! We can't wait to help out with Poop Van Scoop... As you can see, we are already TV stars and loving it!! When we're not on TV, we love to rumble, tumble, nap, snack and generally Bull Terrierize. Stay tuned for our adventures!
